Why it matters

A clear picture, before a guess becomes treatment.

Ultrasound, X-ray, MRI and CT let your doctor see what a symptom alone can't tell them — a fracture, a nodule, a soft-tissue tear. Getting that picture fast changes how quickly the right treatment starts.

As a trusted diagnostic scanning centre, every ultrasound, X-ray, MRI and CT scan at Meridian is read by a certified radiologist and explained in plain language, so you leave with a report you understand, not just a file.

  • Scan — modern digital equipment, calibrated monthly.
  • Read — radiologist review on every single image.
  • Explain — a follow-up call to walk through results.

Questions

Before your scan

Do I need to fast before an ultrasound?

Only for abdominal scans — fast 6–8 hours before. Pregnancy and thyroid ultrasounds need no preparation.

Is MRI safe if I have metal implants?

Most modern implants are MRI-safe, but tell our team beforehand so we can confirm from your implant card.

How soon will I get my scan report?

Ultrasound and X-ray same day. MRI and CT are reported within 24 hours, sent straight to your portal.

Can I walk in for an X-ray or ultrasound?

Yes, both accept walk-ins. MRI and CT need a slot booked in advance due to longer scan times.
